The question of the day is… How much will it take for everyone to say “enough is enough” and move to a new platform?
With all the banning, censoring, demonetizing, deplatforming, and general Orwellian stifling of information and thoughts that we’re experiencing here in 2019, it’s only a matter of time before an open-minded platform rises to power, right?… I mean…. right?! Come on.
It seems like the biggest issue that is keeping these new platforms from becoming more of a staple is just laziness. We say we don’t like the way things are, but we are unwilling to try a better option because it’s different and has a slight new learning curve.
Today’s episode is my conversation with Jeremy Kauffman, who is doing his part to provide you and I with an alternative with his blockchain based censor-free video streaming service called LBRY. In the convo, we dug into what sparked the idea, what blockchain is, what LBRY provides that the others do not, the upsides, the downsides, and all the sides in between.
I personally think it’s well past time for a tidal shift to bring open-mindedness and good ol’ fashion fun free thought back to the internet and LBRY just might be the way to do it.
