The question of the day is….. How much do you REALLY know about American history?… Like, really?

Today’s episode is my conversation with college professor of history, CJ Killmer. CJ has devoted much of his life to deep dive exploring lesser known truths surrounding important events in American history.

On his fantastic podcast, Dangerous History, CJ recently completed a massive 15 part series on the American Civil War and all the things our history books seem to get wrong, so that’s what we’ll be digging into today.

Before my conversation with Prof Killmer, I admittedly knew so little about the American Civil War, it’s staggering. The south liked slaves, the north didn’t like slaves, the north elected golden boy, Abe Lincoln to fight the evil south, and BANG! No more slaves and we all lived happily ever after, right? Turns out, to no surprise of my own, there’s a whole lot more to the story than that, so let’s continue on our quest for knowledge together and find out what really happened and all the historical lies about the Civil War.

Question Everything. Stay Uncomfortable.

Let’s get weird!
